Since its establishment in 1902, the historic Moltrasina Consumers' Cooperative has been seen as a meeting place and as a reference point for cultural and social activities. It has been recently renovated and has been returned to the Moltrasina community with a highly attractive appearance.
The kinds of activities organised and carried out in the building are not limited to catering, but, as is the Cooperative's much-appreciated custom, the bar-trattoria is also open during the day for who want to enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine.
This place is a part of the history of Moltrasio, but is also an important centre for those who want to sit down at the table to enjoy typical trattoria food as well as pizzas and focaccias, as the cooperative has a well-established baking tradition. As with the restoration work itself, the culinary offerings of Trattoria La Moltrasina are modern reinterpretations of the cuisine of Lake Como’s tradition. One of its iconic dishes is the risotto with perch, ever present on all of the seasonal menus of the trattoria.
The recent renovation of the ‘ex bocciofila' area offers members and guests a spacious beer garden with a beautiful view of the lake from the large interior windows. Perfect for events in all seasons.
