This is an adventure born of passion. In Via Vitani, in the heart of Como, there is a small half-hidden bookshop where you can find a selection of volumes of great interest within an old building where visitors are also welcomed to book presentations, exhibitions and reviews on graphics and photography.
Established in the early 1980s thanks to the experience and enthusiasm of the Peverelli family, even after the change of management in 2017, the Libreria Plinio il Vecchio has remained over the years the go-to place in Como for the world of textile design and for all lovers of art and illustrated books in general.
The bookshop has a selection of the best international works in the fields of architecture, photography, design and fashion, which volumes sit alongside rarer works on traditional and antique textiles and ethnic crafts from all over the world. There are also books here on travel, cookery, and gardening, as well as illustrated books for children.
