Demosmobilia

"We love design, beauty and good living, and our aim is to live this passion while respecting the planet". This is the idea upon which, in 1995, Demetrio Zanetti founded Demosmobilia, a design gallery specialising in 20th century furniture and vintage design, with particular attention to the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s.

The large space in Morbio Inferiore (Chiasso) contains iconic objects and furniture by big names on the international scene, as well as projects by unknown or lesser-known designers. The catalogue ranges from items with the elegance of classic Italian design to those with modern Scandinavian lines, while also embracing French eclecticism, German rationalism, Swiss functional minimalism, American industrial design and artifacts made from Brazilian woods.

The idea of Demosmobilia is to return to circulation the typical beauty of projects that marked the 20th century, an unsurpassed time of great creativity and importance, from which contemporary design still draws much inspiration.
