For the last 13 years Anna Tacca has been devoting her energies to floral design, at first as a simple passion of hers in a small workshop, and then as a full-time profession, eventually opening her first shop to the public. Today Anna Flower Designer has two sales outlets, one in Gallarate near Varese, managed personally by the owner, and another on a crossroads in the centre of Como, just a few steps from the station and the lakeside promenade. Open also open at weekends, this is the realm of Martina and Sarah, Anna's trusted co-workers.
There is a fairy-tale atmosphere in Anna's shops, where the air is filled with the scent of flowers and bright colours cheer the space from season to season. The continuous supply is from Dutch growers and small local flower farms, as well as from nurseries scattered all over Italy. Anna Flower Designer's offer is able to meet all kinds of demand: "We create bouquets on request, with home service as required and we also offer monthly subscriptions for those who wish to always have fresh flowers at home. We work too with many hotels and have loyal foreign customers for whom we provide fresh flowers throughout their stay," Anna explains.

While Como's fame in recent years has made the lake, with its splendid villas in natural surroundings and picturesque and historical villages, a perfect location for social events and weddings, Anna and her partners also offer their services throughout Italy, from north to south.
Among the numerous relationships the shop has established with luxury companies, hotels and the tourist sector, Orticolario certainly stands out as a favourite of all the staff of Anna Flower Designer. It is a dynamic and constantly evolving event that provides scope for experimentation and creativity, as does the Park Hyatt Milan, one of the most exclusive hotels in the city. Anna decorates its ample spaces every week with plants and fresh flowers. The business also works with major fashion houses to furnish special arrangements during their exclusive events.
In addition to the floral production of the two shops there is also a selection of carefully chosen design objects, vases, scented candles and furnishing accessories from fine international companies and Italian craftsmen.
