From the founders of Dispensa63, Martina Di Costanzo and Francesco Leoni, known as Baba, Pic-Unique came into being in the year 2019. It offers an unusual gastronomic experience that reflects its creators’ love of good food, attention to detail and enthusiasm for conviviality in the open air, in contact with nature.
The event is designed for a limited number of diners, and is the result of much careful research into location, food, table setting, and lighting, with the frequent involvement of emerging artists who provide live music. A unique picnic setting, as the name suggests, it has been created for lunches or special evenings shared with friends or family. The picnic is not organised in a specific place, but whatever is the most suitable location. This is sought out by careful scouting, with recent venues including in a farm, at a hidden beach, and on the lawn of a villa overlooking the lake.
The menu varies each time, but the format is always the same, with a welcome drink, a basket of starters and a bag of homemade bread and focaccia. The first course is cooked 'live' by Chef Baba and a second course is cooked on the grill, ending with a basket of sweets and fruit.
