The green side

Parco Teresio Olivelli

Photography by Francesco Arena

A gem of a location made up of trees and stone where the line between art and nature is almost imperceptible. Facing the deep waters of the lake, Parco Teresio Olivelli’s monumental staircase and centre fountain overlook the lake, made to the design of rationalist architect Pietro Lingeri, who embellished the gardens in the 1920s.This a true botanical and architectural gem that has been recently brought back to its former glory, with careful restoration work that has turned it into a cultural and social hub, with restoration work also on the Tarocchiera and the introduction of atmospheric night lighting.

This is not just a place to relax in, but also a space dedicated to culture and the arts. The boldness of the most recent restoration lies precisely in the reinterpretation, not only of the architectural and botanical aspects, but also of its function, bringing it all back to life. The night lighting is beautiful, extending the charm of the location even into the darkest hours.
